Built at a cost of $200 million, Biosphere 2 was once the largest sealed environment ever created. Today, it is abandoned. BLGDBLOG has great photos via Noah Sheldon of the decrepit state of the facility. Other biospheres around the globe have been similarly deserted, and the occasional attempt to repurpose them into everything from indoor amusement parks to exotic hotels have sadly failed.
